Eligibility

The Eccles Community Art Center and the Newgate Mall’s Chalk Art Festival is open to youth ages 12 to 21 years from community youth organizations, public, independent, charter and home schools. Registered youths and teams will be able to create chalk art drawings or murals along the Newgate Mall sidewalk and inside the mall on standing chalk boards. The Newgate Mall is located at 3651 Wall Ave. Ogden, UT 84405. The Eccles Community Art Center will provide the pastel chalk for use in the creation of the work. Collaborative as well as single projects will be encouraged. Artwork must be appropriate for public viewing. No words or symbols intended as advertising or with gang relation may appear within the street art image. All artwork must be the sole and original work of the student or class. Adult participation must be limited to advice only. If student is under 18 years of age, a Parent or Guardian must sign for them. Work is expected to be of a temporary nature. 

Registration
